Dating apps aren’t just for late night swipes, at least not for Diana.  I mean there has to be a few real couples that get married to be featured on the commercials!  I know you know what I’m talking about.  All jokes aside, these two beautiful people just did what every single person should do – embrace the new age and take fate into your own hands.  Your person is out there, go find them!  Okay, I just realized I am starting to sound like one of those commercials haha.

Well we know how Diana and her husband met, but how did he propose?  Secret getaway to Terranea resort anyone?  Yes please!  I can attest, the adult pool on the edge of the cliff, overlooking the Pacific, with a fruity drink in hand is my kinda paradise.  Speaking of cliffs overlooking the ocean, that’s exactly where Diana’s husband dropped down and mustered up the courage to profess his eternal love.  Little did Diana know but his sister and bother-in-law just happened to be creeping in the bushes with a camera rolling.  What are the odds of that haha?  Nice move!

When the party was over, we asked Diana to share some sage advice for the wedding planning newbies.  Here is what she had to say.

“Be yourself. Plan what you can, but go with the flow on the wedding day. VOG [Veil Of Grace] will take care of you and make you and your bridal party look absolutely beautiful. One of my photographers gave me great advice too. When walking down the aisle and during the ceremony, continuously try to center yourself. Feel your dad/mom’s arm and hand, feel the ground beneath your feet. Hear the sounds in the air. Feel the breeze on your face. Smell the flowers in your hand. It’s easy to feel out-of-body and not remember the moments. But by using your senses, you can ground yourself in the moments so you feel absolutely present.

The other thing I was worried about was trying to be host and talk to all the people at the wedding. One of my friends gave me the advice to just focus on your new spouse. When you start to feel overwhelmed, look at him, hold his hand, kiss him. Everyone is there to witness the love between you two, so try not to sacrifice those moments with your new husband for trying to be there for the rest of the wedding.”

That is some powerful advice, don’t you agree?  I absolutely love sharing these words of wisdom.  Enjoy these behind the scenes photos of Diana’s big day.
